Questor Realty, Inc. was incorporated in 1974 in Virginia to conduct commercial, land, and industrial real estate actively throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. Its founder, J. Norman Crutchfield, lived in Northern Virginia for more than fifty years and was actively involved with the Northern Virginia Board of Realtors, NAIOP, the Northern Virginia Builders Association, Fairfax County EDA, and also served on the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Committee.
Since its inception, Questor Realty, Inc., has been active in all phases of commercial, land, investment, and industrial real estate. The firm specializes in land sales to residential, commercial, and industrial investors and developers. Questor Realty, Inc., also specializes in the sales and leasing of office condominium projects in the Northern Virginia area.
Questor Realty, Inc., is headquartered in its own executive office building in Springfield, Virginia. The firm has four full-time Associate Brokers and plans to continue its focus on land sales, commercial office sales and leasing, and investment sales.
About Our Founder
James “Norm” Crutchfield, Jr., founded Questor Realty, Inc., in 1974 after his interest in real estate was piqued by the purchase of the home he and his wife owned in Annandale, VA. Norm enjoyed a long and successful career as a commercial real estate broker and investor. He and his wife, Ann, were residents of Fairfax County for 57 years and members of the Country Club of Fairfax. Norm was also active for many years in the Rotary Club of Annandale and was a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.
Norm, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, was a private pilot, enjoyed playing golf for most of his life, and regularly played poker with friends. A lover of books and a voracious reader, he relished completing crossword puzzles each day. A lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins and ACC basketball, Norm was also somewhat of an Anglophile and always maintained a sharp sense of humor. Known as a savvy businessman and a towering presence, those who knew him best recognized that he was a gentle giant with a boisterous laugh and a heart as big as he was.
